Corinne
grew up in the event business.
Her parents have owned and operated a corporate event
management company for almost 20 years giving Corinne the
creativity and experience in events from an early age.
Corinne’s career has focused on many aspects of event
planning beginning with a Swiss based firm planning
education/training sessions and trade shows to a large financial
institution focusing on large scale conferences, incentive
travel, golf and ski outings, and high-end client hospitality
throughout the United States and Europe.
After recently being married, Corinne found a new passion
in weddings and specialty parties where she can showcase her
creativity. Her
approach is professional and inspired and can pull from over 10
years of event planning experience.
Corinne has a marketing degree from Clemson University
and resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband
Chris
Akers
Chris
began her career as an event planner in Washington, DC shortly
after graduating from college in the summer of 1996. Since
then, her career has taken her to Philadelphia, Raleigh and
finally back home to Charlotte, NC. She has worked in
Destination Management, Non-Profit, and most recently as a
Corporate Event Planner during her 10 years in the industry,
working extensively throughout the United States, Mexico and the
Caribbean. Like Corinne, Chris was recently married and
blissfully enjoyed the process of planning her own wedding.
She is now ready to share that enthusiasm with others by
helping them make their own celebrations a realization of their
dreams. Chris approaches each event from the perspective
of the client, and relies on her expertise to create and bring
to life their vision for the perfect event. Chris
graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in advertising and
resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband and their cats Jake
& Peppers (GO PANTHERS!).
